RICHARD NICOLL - 'KING OF SHIRTS'

'Richard Nicoll founded his eponymous label in 2006, after working with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton. Dubbed 'king of the shirt' by fashion journalist Suzie Menkes, Nicoll's background in menswear is evident in the sharp cuts and linear shapes of his Richard Nicoll Shirt collection. With focus on simple, immaculately tailored designs; expected a clean collection of shirt based pieces in a muted colour palette, softened with feminine ruffles and tiered skirts.'

CAROLA EULER S/S 08

'Carola Euler’s Spring/Summer 08 Luxury collection is a work of contrasts. Taking casual sportswear, white hip hop attire and consumerist culture as her starting points, she spars sartorial contradictions against one another and blends them as one'

MARGARET HOWELL + SAM HECHT SHIRT

'This is the second in a series of collaborations with designers from other fields whose work Margaret particularly admires. This time her partner in the making of a unique shirt is Sam Hecht of Industrial Facility.

The result is a pale blue cotton shirt, pre-washed, with minimal front detailing. The back detail is inspired by turning up the tail of a classic shirt to create a divided pocket. An extra pocket on the left sleeve can hold a travel card. This is a shirt for both cycling and wearing in the work place.'
